“A poem a day keeps the doctor away ” says Canadian writer and filmmaker Jean Mercier. “People have lost contact with the foundation of mankind. The ability to see the best in others. The celebration of differences. We read the Bible or other religious books and we forget that these were meant to do nothing but to inspire us. These were and still are poems. In truth, anything with passion and compassion is nothing but poetry meant to speak of the beauty and divinity within everyone and everything. And day after day, or should I say rhyme after rhyme, your whole life is in synch with the ten thousand things. The symphony never stops!
Take a mother and her child from every different culture and tell me: IS LOVE ANY DIFFERENT IN ITS ESSENCE? Now that is harmony! And when you have harmony, life is nothing but a beautiful painting in an organic poem that feeds itself. When a tear also comes around for joy; when suffering is shared; when fears are calmed down, and when we selflessly feel for the needy ones; that’s poetry too! When you don’t need to understand everything, but protect this capacity to cherish the precious gift of life, you create bridges with everyone’s dreams. Then, you participate in the choir and the flow of the river within the universe.
